Job Title Sales Engineer
Location Turin, Milan (Italy)
Responsibilities We are looking for a professional to sell the company’s technological product (Sigmafine) and related services to businesses by developing leads into proposals and orders and ensuring a smooth transition of those orders to the implementation and delivery team.

  • Understands customer needs and blueprints value-added solutions based on company’s technology (Sigmafine)
  • Prepares and delivers technical presentations and demos explaining the value that the company’s products and services bring to the customer’s business
  • Prepares and submits proposals and technical/functional compliance matrix in response to RFI’s and RFQ’s
  • Qualifies and develops leads generated by the company business and marketing activities into opportunities
  • Negotiates price and closes deals through the execution of a Software license and Service Agreement and a valid purchase order from the customer
  • Markets company’s technology by participating in industry events and trade shows as a sponsor and speaker
  • Assesses post-sales customer satisfaction
  • Advises Product Development department in identifying and developing new product features
  • Travels EMEA and occasionally worldwide
Requirements Education, Knowledge and Experience

  • Degree in Engineering/Scientific disciplines: Chemical Engineer, Software Engineer, Physics, Mathematics or related disciplines
  • 3+ years in sales-oriented roles
  • Proven experience in the market of software solutions for the process industries
  • Knowledge of one or more of the following industries: Refining, Chemicals, Upstream, LNG, Power Generation, Metals & Mining
  • Excellent level of verbal and written communication skills (English is essential; other languages are an added asset)

  • Knowledge/experience in statistical analytics, data analysis, business intelligence, machine learning
