On May 22, 2017, Pimsoft co-presented with Slovnaft at the Petrochemical & Refining Congress in Hamburg, Germany. The presentation, “Sigmafine Reconciliation Tool: Implementation in Slovnaft Refinery” describes how conducting business in a data driven environment has become the norm which creates an imperative for data quality.
Slovnaft is a complex refinery and petrochemical site that is part of MOL group and located in Slovakia. The site recently completed its Sigmafine implementation and is in the final testing and assessment stages with a July 2017 estimated go-live date.
After using a customized production accounting system for almost 30 years, Slovnaft desired a more advanced solution that could improve the accuracy of their loss accounting and the efficiency of accounting operations. They also had a growing need to generate numerous reports accessible to the different departments of the refinery.
Slovnaft selected Sigmafine as its turnkey solution because Sigmafine could provide the data quality, transparency, scalability, and unified environment that was required for its 600 meters, 280 tanks, 50 movement operators, 14 plant areas, and 5 production accountants.
Ultimately, Sigmafine created a solution purely based on product functionalities without custom development that solved Slovnaft’s challenges and fit MOL Group’s overall business strategy. A key to the Sigmafine implementation’s success relied on the close team work and information transparency between Slovnaft and Pimsoft from management to user levels.
